Stephanie L Marks

DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Stephanie Marks earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arizona. She is dual board-certified as a psychiatric-mental health and family nurse practitioner. Stephanie specializes in medication management and supportive psychotherapies to address a variety of psychiatric illnesses, including, but not limited to: 

 

  1. ADHD 
  2. Autism Spectrum Disorder 
  3. Trauma Disorders 
  4. Anxiety, Depressive, and other Mood Disorders 
  5. Personality Disorders 
  6. Psychotic Disorders 
  7. Disordered Eating 

 

Stephanie’s professional interests include reproductive psychiatry and research on vicarious trauma. She enjoys cooking, travel and being with family in her spare time.

JENNIFER MFURANZIMA

RN, BSN

Jennifer, serves as the Clinical Services Coordinator at Novis Vita, bringing her extensive nursing experience to offer clinical expertise and consultation for our projects.


Jen graduated from Simmons College in 1997 and began her career as a certified oncology nurse, driven by her personal connection to her stepfather's cancer journey. Transitioning to a role in education in 2005, she became a clinical nursing instructor for the University of Southern Maine and Southern Maine Community College, providing hands-on instruction to nursing students at Maine Medical Center. Currently, Jen is the Chief Executive Officer of CRMA Certs, where she specializes in business start-ups, policy development, and optimization.


With a diverse nursing background encompassing roles such as Home IV Nurse, Nurse Director, and RN Care Manager, Jen excels in case management, utilization review, medication administration, education, and clinical documentation.

CEDRIC MFURANZIMA

MANAGING PARTNER

Cedric is leading the Arizona Recovery Academy initiative. With a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College's School of Business and a Global Scholar designation, Cedric brings expertise in home and community-based services, online training, and business development.


As the former CEO of Mfuranzima Learning Institute LLC and a business developer at New England Integrated Living Support LLC, he has a proven track record in successfully implementing digital training programs and expanding disability support services. Fluent in English, Kinyarwanda, and French, Cedric's multicultural background and diverse skill set make him a visionary leader driving positive change in the behavioral health sector.

With a background spanning prison counseling, adult probation/parole work, certified alcohol and drug counseling, community corrections, and psychotherapy, Steve has honed his skills in correctional, community, and residential settings. He obtained his master's degree in psychology/counseling from Antioch University in 1996 and is certified in Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT). Starting June 2024, Steve will be facilitating the White Bison "Medicine Wheel and 12 Steps" program at Novis Vita.


He specializes in treating Anxiety, Depression, Addictions Recovery, and Stage of Life and Spirituality issues, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and a Strength-Based and Solution-Focused approach.

"Marcy" Kumer, an honors graduate from Pima College with four associate degrees and three certificates, embarked on her career in social work specializing in Substance Use Disorders in 2015. She has worked in various capacities, including supporting pregnant teenagers in residential settings, assisting homeless individuals, and developing a food bank program during her tenure at Hope Inc. Marcy continued her outreach efforts at The Haven, where she secured resources for those in need, conducted Narcan trainings to prevent opioid overdoses, and engaged in substance prevention education in schools and agencies.


Currently serving as the Director of Marketing & Community Engagements at Novis Vita, Marcy applies her extensive experience and ongoing professional development to enhance community engagement and support. Outside her professional life, she enriches her community with

 her writings, sharing insights through poems and short stories.
